A. James “Jim” Teague

Founder & Principal

Jim Teague has spent more than five decades in the energy business. After serving in Vietnam with a Navy attack helicopter squadron and as a naval intelligence officer, he spent 22 years at Dow Chemical, rising to Vice President of Hydrocarbon Feedstocks, then led marketing and trading at MAPCO and served as President of Tejas Natural Gas Liquids, a Shell affiliate.

He joined Enterprise Products Partners in 1999, was named Chief Operating Officer in 2010 and Chief Executive Officer in 2016, and has served as Co-Chief Executive Officer since 2020, helping build Enterprise into one of North America’s largest midstream energy companies. Seawolf Equity is his private investment firm.
